Mercedes 178mph golf ball catch attempt featuring Formula One driver David Coulthard
Anyone who has been around golf for a while knows the folks at Mercedes love the game and love sponsoring golf tournaments.
The latest experiment from the German luxury car giant sees an ex-Formula One driver, Scotsman David Coulthard, attempt to speed past a professional golfer (Jake Shepherd) who is hitting a driver, reach speeds of around 178mph and catch up to Jake’s drive then catch the ball without leaving a scratch on the sleek black bodywork.

I’m not sure if you will now go out and buy a Mercedes, but you’ll go away thinking several things 1) that’s a cool thing to do 2) that’s a fast car 3) which marketing boffin dreamt that up!
