Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon, USA, has quickly established itself as one of the world’s best golf resorts.
Located on a 23-mile stretch of raw untouched coastline, the resort has four 18-hole courses and a 13-hole short course and is about to open a giant putting course called ‘The Punchbowl.’
Bandon Dunes opened in 1999 and was the vision of one man, paper recycling magnate Michael Keiser, whose love for the ancient links of Scotland and seaside golf compelled him to acquire the land and leave a legacy in the USA to this purest form of golf.
Golfing World recently visited the resort and caught up with general manager Hank Hickox to talk about its rapid rise, famed caddie program and sustainable development and care for the environment.
