PGA Catalunya Resort in Catalonia, Northern Spain has launched a competition to celebrate being ranked Spain’s No.1 Golf Course by an influential course rankings website.
Visitors purchasing three green fees to play PGA Catalunya Resort’s Stadium and Tour courses within seven days will be entered into a draw to win a year’s free special membership at the highly acclaimed 36-hole course near Barcelona.
The resort has hosted four consecutive European Tour Qualifying School Finals and has consistently been voted in Europe’s Top-10 golf courses since it opened in 1999.
Voted best in Spain
Recently, Top 100 Golf Courses ranked the course as the best in Spain.
“Judging by the enthusiasm shown by the media, tour operators, golfers and last year’s European Tour Qualifying School visitors, as well as the fact that the prize waives our usual €25,000 new member joining fee, I would suspect a high number of entries to this competition,” commented Julio Delgado, Chief Executive of PGA Catalunya Resort.
The competition is open to anyone over the age of 18 who purchases three green fees to play PGA Catalunya Resort courses within seven consecutive days.
Each player will be given a card which will be stamped every time they play either the Stadium and/or Tour courses.
Julio Delgado added: “With our new ranking, we wanted to share this special achievement with a lucky winner – and up to 10 of their guests – to come play, and above all experience, Spain’s No.1 golf course.”
The competition will run until August 31, 2012.
Completed cards will be submitted for a draw on September 5, 2012 when one lucky entrant will win one year’s free membership at the coveted resort.

The competition will run from March 15, 2012 to August 31, 2012.
The competition is open to all golfers over the age of 18.
Three full-priced 18 hole green fees must be purchased to play PGA Catalunya Resort courses within seven consecutive days.
No restrictions on number of entries per person.
The membership is special & exclusive for this contest and valid for one year only, from October 3, 2012 to October 3, 2013.
The prize is for one individual only, is non-transferable and must be accepted as offered. There is no cash alternative.
The prize includes ten complimentary guest green fees for PGA Catalunya Resort. All guests must accompanied by the winner.

The promoter cannot accept responsibility for entries that are incomplete, delayed or received after the closing date of August 31, 2012.
The winner will be drawn at random on September 5, 2012 and will be notified within 28 days of the draw
The prize provides the winner only with the rights hereto assigned to the special one-year membership drawn.
